Parish Care

Trinity's Parish Care Ministries

Among the many lay ministries here at Trinity Church is parish care, providing spiritual and emotional support during times of personal or family illness, loss, grief, life changes, and any other time when a fellow parishioner's listening ear and caring heart can help. If you are interested in participating in any of these ministries, contact Anne Rapkin.

Casserole Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to provide prepared meals to parishioners and their families when someone in the household is convalescing from surgery or illness, hospitalized, caring for a recent birth, is newly-bereaved, or is experiencing any other crisis that makes food preparation difficult to manage.

Intercessory Prayer Team

Members of the Intercessory Prayer Team are available during communion at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service to pray with you whenever you feel in special need of God's healing and comforting presence, or are celebrating a joyful event in your life or the life of someone you love. Team members meet monthly for fellowship and conversation as a means of deepening their own spiritual lives. Intercessory Prayer Team is a vital lay ministry in the life of our parish.

Sanctuary Stitchers

Sanctuary Stitchers are parishioners who meet monthly for prayer, fellowship, and needle crafts such as knitting, crocheting or other portable needle work. Members of this group create prayer shawls, lap robes, baby blankets, hats, and other items that are offered to those in the parish and in the wider community.

Eucharistic Visitors

Eucharistic visitors are parishioners invited by the Rector and licensed by the Bishop to bring Communion to those parishioners, whether at home, in hospital, or in nursing home care, who are unable to attend regular worship due to physical or other limitations. Eucharistic visitors also provide companionship and an opportunity for conversation.
