Bert Landman began his musical studies in his home town of Newport News, Virginia at age 5. Somewhat later in his musical career he studied piano, harpsichord and voice at Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Church Music, magna cum laude, and a Performance Certificate in Organ. He also holds a Master of Music in Church Music (with distinction) from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, where he studied organ and choral conducting. Mr. Landman served as organist and choirmaster at churches in Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Tennessee and Georgia before coming to Trinity in 2005. A true Rennaisance man, he is a certified Landscape Designer as well as a musician, and enjoys exploring local waterways in his kayak when not engaged in performing, conducting or gardening. |
