Ash Wednesday

For thousands of years Christians have been invited to enter into a season penitence and fasting in preparation for the celebration of our Lord's passion and resurrection.  This season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday, so named in reference to the practice of the imposition of ashes on the foreheads of the penitent.

We will celebrate Ash Wednesday with a simple service at noon, and a Eucharist with choirs at 7:00 pm.  At the evening service, Bishop Laura Ahrens will be preaching and presiding.
